Take a Trip around Busytown with Huckle Cat and the Gang at the Carousel Theatre

2187

Busytown-1The award winning Carousel Theatre for Young People is bringing Richard Scarry’s Busytown to life at the Waterfront Theatre, Granville Island, March 1-30. The kids will love the dance-in-your-seat melodies, fun costumes and food-shaped cars; and there’s plenty to entertain adults too.

The Carousel Theatre group consistently puts on great shows for kids.  The acting is superb, and the productions are age appropriate, imaginative, well-paced and just the right length to keep little-ones engrossed.  Busytown, based on the book What Do People Do All Day by Richard Scarry and adapted for stage by Kevin Kling, with music by Michael Koerner, is sure to be another big hit for the Carousel Theatre Group.

Busytown has been produced for children ages 3 and up.  However, there are special all ages performances on March 9th, 16th, and 23rd at 10:00am when the auditorium lights will be kept on at a low level so that little ones are not frightened of the dark. There will also be a VocalEye performance on March 9th at 2:00pm with vivid vocal description for blind and low vision audiences.  Tickets for all performances can be bought online or by calling the box office at 604-685-6217.
