Of all the possible excuses for my weeks-long AWOL status, I’m quite confident that mine would be ruled admissible in a Kitsilano.ca court martial. I’ve been very busy looking for a new place, finding it, packing my stuff, and moving…to Kitsilano! No longer will I craft missives from my not-so-ivory tower on the UBC campus. No longer will I board the 99 B-line at Macdonald, heading west with my head slung low. After a brief sojourn in Calgary, I will be coming home to Upper Kits in all its leafy, quiet and yet conveniently located glory. I can hardly wait to start contributing as a local rather than a (albeit frequent) visitor because really, who likes tourists anyway?
