Kitsilano residents are invited to mark the change of seasons with a Cacao Community Circle on Sunday, September 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yoga Circle (301–2515 Burrard Street).
The intimate gathering, limited to 12 participants, is hosted by facilitators Veronica and Jorge. Together, they create what they describe as a trauma-informed, heart-centred space rooted in love and supported by their professional and personal healing practices.
The Autumn Equinox circle will begin with blessing and drinking ceremonial cacao, a plant long revered for its ability to open the heart and support connection. Participants will then be guided through meditation to reflect on the meaning of the season, followed by Two Stage Breathwork—a practice that supports the release of emotional blockages and reconnects individuals with what organizers call “the deepest source of healing—Love.”
The experience also includes moments of self-inquiry and small-group sharing, drawing on the principles of Transparent Communication. Veronica and Jorge will share insights into cacao traditions, including wisdom passed down by the Maya and teachings from the Mayan Wisdom Project.
The Cacao Community Circle is held every 12 weeks, aligning with the solstices and equinoxes, to honour the cyclical nature of life and provide space for reflection and connection.
Tickets are $65 plus GST until September 7 (use coupon code CACAO) and $75 plus GST after September 8. Yoga Circle members can access the discounted rate until the day of the event. Those facing financial barriers are encouraged to contact Veronica at veronica@yogacircle.ca for support.
