For 30 years, the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure has united thousands of Canadians with a common goal – to help change the future of breast cancer. They’ve made a promise never to stop running, and on Sunday, October 3rd, they’re inviting Vancouver residents to join us for the 30th annual CIBC Run for the Cure.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Canadian women, touching the lives of many every day. Using vital funds raised from the CIBC Run for the Cure, the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) can continue supporting Canadians impacted by breast cancer throughout and beyond the pandemic.

This year, they’re gearing up for another exciting hybrid Run experience with virtual and physical components. Participants can create and customize their own virtual runner, fund-raise to unlock rewards and track their activity through our easy-to-use mobile app and website. On Run day, they’ll organize the fun online! Participants can join the virtual opening ceremonies before heading out for a run or walk around the neighbourhood with a small group of family and friends.

The 30th annual CIBC Run for the Cure opening ceremonies will be broadcasted nationally on YesTV and live-streamed on Facebook and YouTube at 8:00am PST. With performances from iconic Canadian musicians, our opening ceremonies will get you ready to run or walk. Viewers can also enjoy a powerful welcome video, inspira-tional speakers and a high-energy warm-up.

Since 1992, the CIBC Run for the Cure has raised more than $471 million for the breast cancer cause. Because of these funds, we know more than ever before about preventing, diagnosing, treating and living with and beyond breast cancer. But there’s still more work to do. The CIBC run for the Cure gives families, friends and supporters the opportunity to hon-our their loved ones and make a difference in the lives of those impacted by breast cancer.

Help change the future of breast cancer on Sunday, October 3rd.
