Which Apple store are you trekking to from Kitsilano these days? Many of us have been braving the hordes at the current Pacific Centre Apple store, which sold more than $75 million last year according to Retail Insider, making it one of the more productive Apple Stores in the company. It figures that Apple needs more space, and they found it below the new Pacific Centre Nordstrom set to open in fall 2015.

According to the plan, the expanded retail space below Nordstrom will be accessible via the Pacific Centre as well as from a new Robson Street escalator entrance. The upgraded Apple store won’t have flagship status, although it will be one of the largest in Canada. Apple may still open a Downtown Vancouver ‘flagship’ location. Also by way of Retail Insider, we’ve heard that lease negotiations for a prominent Robson Street commercial space are being finalized. They don’t yet know who the tenant will be.

I thought this was a blog about Kitsilano. Why is this story here? Sorry, but “Which Apple store are you trekking to from Kitsilano these days?” doesn’t make it about Kits. Same with the Grouse Grind story earlier this week. Please don’t turn this into a generic Vancouver blog.
