If you’re looking for free family fun this weekend, head down to Kitsfest at Kitsilano Beach for the free screening of the documentary film “Nash” – all about Canada’s celebrated athelete, Steve Nash. The premiere takes place at the north end of Kits Beach Saturday, August 9 at 7pm.
The documentary reveals the unexpected journey of Nash, a BC native who currently plays for the LA Lakers, and was ranked among the 100th most influential people in the world by TIME Magazine (in 2006). In the film, Nash attempts to navigate his way through the morally corrupt world of professional sports while trying to leave a lasting legacy on and off the court.
The screening is free to attend.There is VIP seating available for $30 which comes with refreshments.
