Spanish ships visit Kits beach, plus the 36th Pacific Rim Kite Festival

Nope, it’s not Johnny Depp. The Hawaiian Chieftain, a replica of a typical merchant trader vessel used by the Spanish in the late 18th century, is visiting the Maritime Museum this June. Meanwhile Vanier Park was full of families and kite enthusiasts who came out for the BCKA‘s 36th annual Pacific Rim Kite Festival.
