Starting Monday, September 1, Translink will be adding a whole host of additional bus services. In most cases it’s bus frequency that will be increased, but the most noticeable change will be the addition of a brand new bus service between the 29th Avenue Sky Train station and UBC. This new route will run along 33rd Avenue up until Cambie where it heads north, continuing its westbound route to UBC along Kitsilano’s southern most border, West 16th.
This is great news for south Kitsers heading to the Sky Train or UBC. The service will initially only run Monday to Friday, and will run approximately every 15 minutes from 6am until 7.30pm. It’s too bad that this is a non-trolley route, but it still beats driving of course.

Expect to hear some homeowners get cranky when they discover a new bus stop in front of their homes.
Erik,
Ever wonder why the new buses are so noisy? Does going green not extend quiet?
just sayin…
