Apparently I missed a good performance last night by Sweden – now if only the Canucks could manage to convince Naslund to sign. According to the Vancouver Police, the prime viewing areas were overrun by fools – 63 liquor seizures, eight assaults, and 12 arrests – culminating with five separate incidents in which crowd members were pepper-sprayed. The biggest problems occured in Kitsilano’s own East Side (Kits Point that is) where the Fire department and hazmat team seized some unknown chemicals to be analyzed.
