Holiday shopping on West 4th just got a little easier — and a lot more festive.
This December, the West 4th Avenue Business Improvement Association is offering two hours of free parking on Sundays in the lead-up to Christmas.
Shoppers can enjoy complimentary parking on December 7, 14, and 21 from 9am to 6pm in designated metered spots between Balsam Street and Fir Street. It’s a perfect chance to linger, browse your favourite shops, and soak up the seasonal atmosphere along West 4th.
A few important notes:
- The offer applies only to valid metered street parking along West 4th Avenue (see map below for eligible red-marked areas).
- Side streets, parkades, lots, and no-parking/no-stopping zones are not included.
- Parking is still monitored — staying beyond two hours or parking outside the listed times may result in a ticket.
- Shop West 4th and its member businesses are not responsible for any citations.
If you’re planning your holiday outings, this is a great opportunity to support local shops and enjoy a little extra time on the avenue.
