The Kitsilano Showboat is back for its milestone 90th season, promising another summer of music, dance, and community spirit on the shores of English Bay. From June 18 to August 17, 2025, audiences are invited to enjoy free, open-air performances five nights a week, Wednesday through Sunday, starting at 7:00pm.
Located beside the Kitsilano Pool with a backdrop that’s hard to beat, the Showboat’s summer series features a dynamic lineup that celebrates the diversity and talent of Vancouver’s performing arts scene.
Opening night kicks off on Wednesday, June 18 with a performance by the Vancouver Concert Band Society. The festivities continue through the weekend with Richard Lowy’s Yacht Rock Concert on Thursday, a Greek Dance Showcase on Friday in anticipation of Greek Day, and a special National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration on Saturday, June 21 featuring Katisha Paul and Family dancers and drummer Steven Seegerts. Sunday’s lineup wraps up the first week with Jazz Connexion and the Sea to Sky Wind Ensemble.
Additional highlights include a Canadian Multicultural Day celebration on June 27, and an extended Canada Day event on Tuesday, July 1, running from 2:30pm to 9:00pm. Visitors are also encouraged to bring a blanket and settle in for the Celebration of Light fireworks, viewable from the Showboat’s stage on July 19, 23, and 26.
Now in its ninth decade, the Kitsilano Showboat remains one of Vancouver’s most cherished summer traditions. With performances running weather-permitting and a new show each evening, it’s a place where locals and visitors alike gather to enjoy live entertainment and the city’s most scenic stage.
