Three Kitsilano favourites have claimed top honours in the Georgia Straight’s 28th annual Golden Plates Awards, an annual celebration of Vancouver’s culinary scene as voted by the public.
Annalena took the top spot in the coveted Best in Kitsilano category, continuing to earn accolades for its inventive, upscale West Coast cuisine. Known for its intimate atmosphere and polished tasting menus, the West 1st Avenue restaurant has built a loyal following with its modern approach and refined flavours.
Coming in second is Nook, a cozy and consistently packed neighbourhood staple specializing in rustic Italian comfort food. From wood-fired pizzas to house-made pastas, Nook has remained a go-to for casual yet high-quality dining.
Rounding out the top three is Maenam, the award-winning Thai restaurant led by Chef Angus An. With its emphasis on bold, balanced flavours and sustainable ingredients, Maenam continues to set the standard for modern Thai cuisine—not just in Kits, but across the city.
The Golden Plates Awards are determined entirely by reader votes, highlighting the restaurants Vancouverites truly love.
