A new all-day café with deep culinary roots and local heart has officially opened in Kitsilano.

Provisions Kitsilano, the latest concept from the Toptable Group, is now serving from morning through evening at 2296 West 4th Avenue. With an emphasis on made-from-scratch meals, local sourcing, and warm hospitality, Provisions aims to be more than a café — it hopes to become a daily ritual for the neighbourhood.

Open from 8am to 8pm, Provisions Kitsilano offers a thoughtful menu designed for all-day enjoyment. Whether it’s a Thierry espresso and their signature breakfast sandwich made with a house-baked milk seed bun and house-made sausage patty, or a smash burger crafted from a custom Luigi & Sons grind, every item is made to order and grounded in transparency and quality. Orange juice is pressed fresh daily, sauces are blended in-house, and meats are prepared in collaboration with Toptable’s own butcher shop.

“This is a space where craft begins with intention,” said the Provisions team. “We’re focused on creating something that feels elevated but still approachable — rooted in community, care, and great ingredients.”

The culinary program is led by Chef James Walt, Culinary Director and Whistler mainstay for over 28 years, and Chef Alex Hon, Executive Sous Chef for Toptable Group. The Kitsilano café is managed by Leama Vallely (formerly of Elisa), supported by Assistant Manager Gigi Lai (Thierry, Blue Water Café), and Kitchen Manager AJ Gachha.

The interior, designed internally by the Toptable team, reflects the café’s approach: polished yet inviting. Guests can watch the kitchen team in action or unwind on the patio with a local beer as the sun sets over Kits.

For Provisions Kitsilano, the goal is simple: to become a dependable, delicious part of daily life — whether for a quick pastry, an afternoon recharge, or a relaxing dinner.
