After more than a decade at the corner of West 4th and Yew Street, Urban Outfitters is leaving Kitsilano.

According to a notice posted on its front door, the retailers last day open to the public will be Tuesday, January 23rd.

This West 4th storefront is one of the most iconic in Kitsilano. The original structure was built in 1912 for the Canadian Bank of Commerce when streetcars first came to the area and it is one of a few commercial structures in Kits listed on the Vancouver Heritage Registrar.

Before becoming Urban Outfitters this location was home to Le Chateau. No word on what it will become next.
