Girls Can Rugby is an initiative launched by BC Rugby that aims to inspire more girls under the age of 14 to play rugby in a positive and enjoyable environment at clubs throughout the province.

On Sunday, March 6th, clubs throughout BC are hosting a Girls Can Rugby Day: a free tryout welcoming all girls aged 5-14 to try rugby at a local club. This has been made possible thanks to funding from Sport BC and the Government of BC.

Kitsilano’s own Meraloma Rugby Club is hosting a Girls Can Rugby Day on March 6th from 10:00am – 12:00pm at Connaught Park. This is a great opportunity for girls and parents to come and learn about the sport of Rugby and its many benefits.

There will be several activities for players to enjoy, such as learning to pass and kick a Rugby ball, as well as time for parents to ask Club members about the programs they offer.
