We may be getting closer to fall, but Vancouver’s weather remains in summer mode and a special weather statement has been issued for high temperatures expected this week.
According to Environment Canada, “daytime maximum temperatures are forecast to be 5 to 10 degrees above seasonal on Wednesday and Thursday.”
Unfortunately you won’t be able to cool down at one of the world’s best places for swimming as Kits Pool closed for the season on September 7th.
@kitspool it’s 26 degrees, still summer and the beautiful outdoor pool that was open and oversubscribed yesterday is now… SHUT?!? Lots of other pools to go to instead – oh wait. #nocommonsensecovidornot

In previous years the Vancouver Park Board has extended the season when the weather has been hot but no luck this year.
Speaking of luck, many swimmers didn’t have much of it when trying to grab a lane this summer with the new COVID-19 online booking process.
