Once upon a time, our fine Kitsilano neighbourhood was nicknamed the “Haight-Ashbury of the north”.

Referring to, of course, the 1960s and 70s hippy hood of California’s San Francisco.

Now relive those gloriously laid-back and groovy times at the annual Khatsahlano Street Party – Vancouver’s largest free music and arts festival. And it’s coming to fill West 4th Avenue today, Saturday July 7th, from 11:00am till 9:00pm, from Burrard to MacDonald Street.

Multiple stages will be showcasing more than 50 of Vancouver’s top musical performers including headliners Leeroy Stagger at 6:00pm, Slow at 6:30pm, Frazey Ford at 7:00pm, Sam Tudor at 7:30pm, and Bif Naked at 8:00pm.

And expect to see wonderful works by local artisans, unique street performers, a wide variety of food trucks, giveaways, entertainment for kids, beer gardens, special sales at local shops, and loads and loads of people watching.
