It may be grey and rainy, but the next few months are full of fun events in and around our Kitsilano neighbourhood. Here are just a few of the events that you can look forward to in January, February, and March.

Dine Out Vancouver

From January 19th till February 4th, Tourism Vancouver’s Dine Out Vancouver Festival is back for its 16th year. Over 300 restaurants will be participating with specially priced multi-course dinners at $20, $30, and $40. Many of these restaurants will also offer discounted lunch menus. The full list of restaurants (with loads of them in Kitsilano) will be available for reservations on January 11th.

Hot Chocolate Festival

From January 20th till February 14th, the 8th annual Hot Chocolate Festival returns to Vancouver to warm and sweeten us all up. Last year’s event featured nearly 30 participating cafes with awesome hot chocolate creations including those from our own neighbourhood’s Koko Monk Chocolates, Chocolate Arts, Terra Breads, and Thomas Haas. Stay tuned for more information on this delicious distraction.

Winter Wander

Visit three museums and two other venues for just $5 per person (kids aged 5 and under are free) during the annual Winter Wander at Vanier Park on Saturday, February 3rd, from 10am till 5pm. The museums included are the Museum of Vancouver, the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, and the Vancouver Maritime Museum, plus the City of Vancouver Archives and the Vancouver Academy of Music. Food trucks will be on site and there will be live entertainment by Bard on the Beach and the Academy.

Kits Wedding Show

For any couples looking to get married in the next year or so, the wonderful boutique Kits Wedding Show is perfect for getting the planning started. Geared towards brides and grooms on a budget, this show will feature over 25 local vendors for all your wedding needs. It’s held on Saturday, March 10th, from 10am till 4pm at the Kits Community Hall next to the Kitsilano Neighbourhood House. Cost is just $5 per person.
