The Pacific Salmon Foundation’s Pink Salmon Festival is tomorrow, Sunday, August 27th, in Kitsilano.
The festival’s mission is to encourage consumers to choose pink salmon as a sustainable seafood choice. The message is particularly critical this year given the dismal returns forecasted for other salmon species such as sockeye and chinook.
It’s a family-friendly event with various free and educational activities featuring executive chefs including Robert Clark, who will prepare a selection of pink salmon samplings by donation. All proceeds will support wild salmon projects in B.C.
The Pacific Salmon Foundation’s Pink Salmon Festival is on Sunday, August 27th from noon to 4pm at Hadden Park at Kits Point.
