With Spring Break 2016 just around the corner (March 14 to 28 in Vancouver), you may be wondering if you can still get your kids into a camp over the break. The good news is there are still some spaces in awesome half and full-day week-long camps and drop in programs in the neighbourhood.

6 fantastic Spring Break Camps in Kitsilano that have space

At the Kitisilano Community Centre’s Bricks 4 Kidz Amusment Park Camp, campers will build a new ride each day and learn how to make the models spin, turn and rock ‘n roll. Campers attending the West Point Grey Community Centre’s Brick Animation Camp will learn how to use LEGO Movie Maker, including movement, timing, effects, editing and voice over.

A perenial favourite, YogaButtons, is offering 5-day and drop-in morning and afternoon camps for 3-8 year olds to encourage imaginations through yoga, crafts, stories, games and dance.

NovoSTEM, a recently opened Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics learning centre on West 4th (at Alma) has exciting spring break camps for kids ages 3-12. As well as completing coding and robotics projects, students will step out of the classroom during full-day camps to explore land and aquatic ecosystems.

At 4Cats Kitsilano, kids aged 5-12 will use different media on imaginative projects. This year’s camps themes are garden faries, on the plain, abstract and just me and my pet; something to suit everyones taste.

Kitsilano Gymnastics Club is offering a Spring Break Camp program at Lord Tennyson Elementary School. Apart from gymnastics the program includes team sports, a movie afternoon, social games, some arts and crafts and a field trip. Visit their Facebook page for details.
