I am not really a food cart kind of person. I am, however, very much a sandwich person, and the smell of the Butcher Boyz stand in front of Greens Market at West Broadway/Maple yesterday was seriously enticing. Butcher Boyz, in collaboration with Greens Market, will be offering slow roasted local meats on their own fresh baked breads with all kinds of interesting fillings. They are open for lunch only MTWF, closed Thursdays to roast meats.

With only three sandwiches, the menu is small but the sandwiches are big – think Meat & Bread but more interesting. One of yesterday’s offerings was pulled pork with coffee caramelized peach BBQ sauce (using the last of the B.C. peaches) and a freshly baked sourdough bun. Plus, I will admit that there is something appealing about eating a hot sandwich outside on a cold day. Perhaps I will become a food cart convert yet.
