Candlelight vigil for abused German shepherd at Kitsilano Beach, July 25

One week ago, we blogged about Captain, the German Shepherd that was found badly injured in a Kitsilano dumpster. Captain passed away July 19, due to the serious nature of his injuries. The post received a great deal of reader commentary, both from sympathizers and those who wanted more attention for human tragedy. The BC SPCA has also reported an outpouring of support, in the form of donations.

The sad story concludes this evening, July 25, with a candlelight vigil at 7pm, at Kitsilano Beach near the tennis courts. If you’re going, you are asked to bring candles and your own pet.
