UBC Grand Prix brings top North American cyclists to Westside

Cycling is on the rise in Canada and the recent victory by Victoria’s Ryder Hesjedal in the Giro d’Italia should catapult it even higher.

On July 10th you’ll have a chance to get in on the craze and cheer on some of the best cyclists in North America at the UBC Grand Prix.

Presented by Mahony & Sons Public House and part of BC Superweek the UBC Grand Prix will feature a Criterium race open to pro/am male and female cyclists competing for over $10,000 in prize money.

Athletes will race a 1-km circuit and navigate around the course for 40-65 laps. Spectators will be entertained by the athletes sprinting for cash prizes that will be awarded throughout the race making for an exciting afternoon and evening of fun.

Along with these races, there will be a Kids’ Race as well as a Corporate Team Challenge.
