Grand Prix Hobbies is packing up after 46 years in Kits

328

After 46 years on West Broadway in Kitsilano, Grand Prix Hobbies is closing up shop September 16th and moving to Hope, BC.

Sam Mansour, five year staffer, identifies a few key reasons, not the least of which is high rent: “It’s definitely something people know about and talk about. We have a lot of other business owners and we talk to people up and down the strip on Broadway… they’re all pretty much saying the same thing —  that the rent is getting to a point where it’s just hard to maintain,” he told the Courier.

There’s a massive sale going on now with more details available on their website. So stop by and shop or just say farewell. For loyal customers, it’s not an entirely sad story. Grand Prix Hobbies is launching an on-line store soon.
