This year marks the 16th year of Artist in Our Midst, as more than 70 artists from the West Side open their studios so art aficionados can meet the creators of textile, collage, painted, sculptural, photographic and other pieces in their workshops. Local merchants will exhibit works in their windows with information about the artists and artists in each community welcome them into their creative spaces.
Artists in West Point Grey will show their works April 10, 12 and 13. Those in Dunbar/Kerrisdale exhibit theirs April 17, 19 and 20. Creative types in Kits kick open their doors on April 24th with a preview exhibition at St. James Community Square followed by open houses on April 26th and 27th throughout Kitsilano.
