If you’re looking for something different to do this holiday season, check out the 12th Annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival. Three different processions converge on Granville Island on December the 21st and it promises to be a crazy fire-filled event. I suggest you get yourself and your lantern to the H.R. MacMillan Planetarium at 6pm as it’s the only starting point in Kits.
The secret mission of the Secret Lantern Society is to transform spectators into participants through celebration and their main event is this annual Winter Solstice Lantern Festival. It should be pretty good considering they’re the ones behind the ultra-successful Stanley Park Ghost Train.
