NoFrills, a discount grocer owned by Loblaws, has recently opened a store in Kits. The store is anything but a beautiful place to shop, but by cutting back on fixtures, having customers bag their own groceries, eliminating in store baking and specialty butcher cuts and so on, the store is able to cut their prices incredibly low.
They are currently running a “Won’t Be Beat” low price campaign. If you find a lower price anywhere in the city, they guarantee to match or beat the price on any item. I picked up a few deals and was surprised to see a decent organic selection in the store too.
With grocery costs top of mind in our household, I am pleased to have them join the neighbourhood. What are your thoughts on this new neighbourhood grocer?
