The Vancouver Folk Music Festival is set to return to Kitsilano’s Jericho Beach Park this summer, bringing three days of live music, culture, and community to one of the city’s most scenic waterfront spaces.

Now in its 49th year, the festival will run from July 17 to 19 and feature 35 artists and groups from across Canada, North America, and around the world.

“This year’s artists are an incredible collection of unique acts of diverse cultures, styles and genres that promise many interesting mashups on our collaborative stages,” said Artistic Director Fiona Black. “Get ready for Vancouver’s most passionately curated festival that is all about spreading love and positive musical vibes.”

The 2026 lineup includes a strong local and Canadian presence, with Vancouver artists like Cousin Harley, Empanades Ilegales, Haley Blais, and Luke Wallace set to perform alongside acts from across the country, including Aysanabee, Ruby Waters, and Tami Neilson.

International artists will also take the stage, with performers travelling from as far as Brazil, the UK, Japan, Ukraine, and beyond. Notable names include Billy Bragg, Bia Ferreira, Mitsune, and Yagody, reflecting the festival’s long-standing reputation for global programming.

Beyond the music, the festival transforms Jericho Beach Park into a vibrant cultural gathering. Attendees can expect a mix of daytime performances across multiple stages, evening mainstage concerts, artisan markets, food vendors, and interactive experiences set against the backdrop of the ocean and mountains.

“Whatever folk music means to you, we have something that will appeal to everyone,” Black said. “During the day we have three stages to visit and at night our Mainstage comes alive where everyone gathers to dance in one of Vancouver’s most beautiful outdoor spaces.”

Organizers say the full performance schedule will be released in the coming weeks.

Early bird weekend passes are now on sale, with prices set to increase at the end of the month. Single-day tickets will be released at the same time.

As one of Kitsilano’s signature summer events, the Vancouver Folk Music Festival continues to draw locals and visitors alike, offering a unique blend of music, community, and coastal atmosphere at Jericho Beach.
