A cult-favourite East Coast salad brand is making its West Coast debut—and Kitsilano is one of its first stops.
Mandy’s Gourmet Salads, the Montreal-born concept known for its vibrant, ingredient-packed bowls, is expanding to Vancouver with two new locations, including an express-format restaurant in the heart of Kitsilano.
The Kitsilano outpost will be located at 2202 West 4th Avenue, bringing a grab-and-go version of Mandy’s popular menu to one of Vancouver’s busiest retail corridors. The space is designed for convenience, catering to the neighbourhood’s active, on-the-move lifestyle, while also featuring a patio for the summer months.
A second Vancouver location is also in the works in Coal Harbour at 1067 West Cordova Street, which will serve as Mandy’s flagship in the city. That location will offer a larger, sit-down dining experience, marking a more full-service complement to the Kitsilano concept.
Founded in 2004 by sisters Mandy and Rebecca Wolfe, Mandy’s began humbly in the back of a women’s clothing store, with no prior experience in food or business. More than two decades later, the brand has grown to more than 17 locations across Quebec and Ontario, including nine in Montreal and a rapidly expanding footprint in Toronto.
Mandy’s has built a loyal following for its chef-driven salads, house-made dressings, and colourful presentation, elevating what is typically considered a simple lunch option into a destination dining experience. Its distinctly designed restaurant interiors—often bright, playful, and instantly recognizable—have also become a signature part of the brand.
The move into Vancouver signals the next phase of Mandy’s national expansion, with Kitsilano serving as a natural fit. The neighbourhood’s mix of beach culture, fitness-minded residents, and strong demand for fresh, high-quality food makes it an ideal landing spot.
An opening timeline for the Kitsilano location has not yet been announced—but when it is, Kitsilano.ca will be the first to share the details.
