Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival has launched its 30th Season with a lineup of four exciting play productions and a range of entertaining special events, in the spectacular waterfront setting of Vanier Park.

Tickets for all performances and special events, scheduled from June 5 through September 21, are now on sale.

The season kicks off with The Taming of the Shrew, inspired by Bard’s beloved 2007 Wild West production, a high-energy hit; it plays in repertory with the Elizabethan-set romantic comedy Shakespeare in Love, adapted from the award-winning film of the same name; both are on the BMO Mainstage.

The Howard Family Stage offers two new Shakespearean productions that run consecutively: All’s Well That Ends Well, set in 1940s India at the time leading up to Indian independence, and Coriolanus, a riveting political drama filled with resonance for our time.

Notable returning special events include Bard-B-Q & Fireworks, Family Nights, Talkback Tuesdays, Wine Wednesdays and the Exploring Shakespeare Talks (one for each of the four plays).

Ticket prices for all regular play performances start at $26. Early booking is recommended for best seat selection, as many performances sell out in advance.

The full performance schedule, site information and play and special events details are on the Bard website at bardonthebeach.org.
