Next month, in July, our Kitsilano neighbourhood will see at least two more cafes opening up, with the first being the coffee shop bakery, Their There, inside the former Mission location at 2042 West 4th Avenue.

Developed by AnnaLena owners Jeffrey Parr and Chef Mike Robbins, Their There will be offering us fresh sandwiches, salads, baked goods, coffees (well, the beans at least) from Portland, Oregon-based Heart Coffee Roasters, plus a carefully selected choice of beer and wine.

The space for Their There has been renovated and features a bright, soft, and modern design, with blonde woods, white tiles, milk crate stools, an inviting communal table, and some quirky toys similar to AnnaLena’s decor. Opening officially July 1st, that’s this Sunday already, we’re excited to stop by for lunch as soon as we can.

We’re also looking forward to yet another ice cream shop that’s opening in early July, though this won’t be any ordinary ice cream. Former Bella Gelateria owner James Coleridge is setting up shop inside the old Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt spot, at 2579 West Broadway.

James Gelato, as it will apparently be named, is still under wraps for now but will certainly feature cool, smooth treats, and perhaps something more. Just in time for summer, right?
