Vancouver Folk Music Festival is another huge summer event that draws Vancouverites and tourists to our fair neighbourhood. The three-day music festival which takes place at Jericho Beach from Friday, July 19 to Sunday, July 21 was named one of North America’s top ten outdoor concerts by USA Today.
When the organizers say “folk” music, it actually means over 70 hours of folk, roots, hip hop, reggae, gospel and more on eight outdoor stages. The beachfront festival location dazzles festival goers; stunning views of downtown Vancouver and the North Shore Mountains compete with the onstage artists for attention.
Vancouver Folk Music Festival just released their daytime stage schedules. Stand out artists include Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks, Steve Earle, Devotchka, Kathleen Edwards, Cold Specks, Hannah Georgas and more.
