The Chip’s Not Dead Yet Memorial mile is taking place on June 20th. This one mile run, walk or parade starts at W10th and Alma and ends at W10th and Tolmie. At the finish line, a street party fully loaded with music, games and activities for the whole family awaits.
This year one lucky entrant of the Superhero family wave will win a trip along the Inside Passage on the new Northern Expedition presented by BC Ferries. This world class adventure departs from Port Hardy and features a spectacular cruise through BC’s Inside passage to Prince Rupert. A great summer getaway for any family.
No Super Hero is too young, or too wacky to miss this event. Strollers welcome and kids are free under 10 years old! Don’t miss this summers funnest charity event!

What a great charity event!
I was a little surprised when I saw the theme waves, though. Wasn’t the whole idea of the video contest to come up with theme ideas?! Not a single idea from the contest made it to the actual event, not even the winning videos. And some of the ideas were actually quite nice (and definitely nicer than regurgitating the ones from last year).
Oh well. I’m sure it will be a lot of fun and I can’t wait for the 20th!

Just wanted to let everyone know that we have the winning entry from the video contest as an official wave this year: the Run Like a Canuck wave.
Choose this new wave, or any wave of your choice. Remember kids under 10 run for free!
See you all on the 20th.
That’s good to hear! At first it looked like all the waves were identical from last year’s. Not sure if I saw the Run Like a Canuck wave depicted in the Lululemon window… Either way, definitely excited about the run (read: party at the top of the hill).
