One of Vancouver’s most sought-after donut shops has just opened a new location in Kits.

Cartems Donuterie continues to expand its reach across the city by opening its third location on West Broadway this week.

For those unfamiliar with this local donut shop, Cartems is known for its fresh, never frozen donuts. Ingredients are sourced from as close to home as possible, and organic wherever they can. Creative flavors include Canadian Whiskey Bacon, Triple Chocolate Threat, and The Earl Grey.

Cartems’ flour comes from Anita’s Organic Mill (Chilliwack), their eggs are from Rabbit River Farms (Richmond), their butter comes from Golden Ears Cheeseworks (Maple Ridge), their milk is from Birchwood Dairy (Abbotsford) and Avalon Dairy (Burnaby), and their spices come from Gathering Place Trading Company on Cortes Island.

The new 1,600-square-foot spot, which seats about 30 people, can be found at 3040 West Broadway. Cartems’ other locations are at 534 West Pender and 2190 Main Street.
