A reader tipped us off on this one. Kahve cafe soft-launched on Thursday, November 12 at 1822 West 1st. They’re on a soft-launch schedule (8am to 3pm) through the end of the week, and open for normal hours Monday, November 23.

We were initially attracted by the cafe’s design. It’s a really good-looking space. It’s bright and modern. You’ll covet their shelving units and bar stools by Danish brand Muuto. The owners are the same as the folks who run Enflux, a high-end Vancouver design store with modern aesthetics. As a result, they also sell designer coffee/kitchen accessories in store, like Alessi coffee makers.

They serve Elysian Coffee.  They have tea from North Van’s The Tea Guy. They outsource for chocolates and pastries. One supplier is Cadeaux bakery. They make their own sandwiches, salads, soups and more. They are made with mostly organic, locally sourced fresh ingredients and the condiments used are made from scratch in-house.

Stop by and let us know what you think.
