Vancouver Fringe Festival Returns for 11 Days of Boundary-Pushing Performances

The Vancouver Fringe Festival will return to Granville Island and venues across the city from September 10 to 20, bringing 11 days of theatre, dance, comedy, drag, music, and more.

This year’s festival is celebrating “every kind of every thing,” embracing the creative freedom and wide-ranging voices that have made Fringe a fixture of Vancouver’s arts scene.

Audiences will be able to choose from more than 80 shows featuring artists from Vancouver and around the world. The eclectic lineup promises something for nearly every taste, from experimental theatre and live music to laugh-out-loud comedy and high-energy dance.

The festival will also offer two days of free Kids Fringe programming designed for children and families.

Ahead of the main festival, the all-ages Fringe Patio will return during Labour Day week with free live music and entertainment. The outdoor gathering place gives festivalgoers and Granville Island visitors an early opportunity to experience the community atmosphere surrounding Fringe.
