Kits Point is set for a summer evening celebration on Friday, July 3, as three of Vancouver’s best-known cultural attractions come together for the Kits Point Patio Party.
The free event runs from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and brings together the Museum of Vancouver, Vancouver Maritime Museum, and H.R. MacMillan Space Centre for an evening of live music, hands-on activities, local vendors, food, and waterfront views.
At the Museum of Vancouver, guests can catch live performances from Romeo Reyes, Francis Baptiste, DFX Daffodil, and Lola Whyte, followed by an open mic session. The museum galleries will also stay open until 8 p.m., and non-alcoholic mocktails will be available.
Over at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, the patio will feature local artists and makers, including tarot readings, jewellery, caricatures, ceramics, and interactive arts and crafts. Visitors can also view the Sun through a solar telescope and take part in an augmented reality Solar System tour designed for ages five and up, with tickets available on site.
The Vancouver Maritime Museum will extend gallery hours until 8 p.m., including access to exhibits such as the historic St. Roch. Outside, the museum’s waterfront terrace will feature a beer garden, local food vendors, and views across English Bay.
