Theatre Under the Stars is bringing two feel-good musical favourites to Stanley Park this summer, with Sister Act and Disney’s The Little Mermaid set to take the stage at Malkin Bowl from July 3 to August 22, 2026.
A Vancouver tradition since 1940, TUTS will once again transform the outdoor venue into one of the city’s most magical summer destinations, pairing live music, family entertainment, and evenings under the stars.
This year’s season features two stories led by daring heroines finding their voices. Sister Act, based on the 1992 hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg, follows aspiring disco singer Deloris Van Cartier as she enters witness protection in a convent and helps turn its struggling choir into a sensation.
Disney’s The Little Mermaid brings Ariel’s underwater world to life on stage, following the young mermaid as she dreams of life beyond the sea and makes a dangerous bargain with Ursula for a chance to become human.
“We are delighted to welcome audiences into the immersive and awe-inspiring worlds of two daring heroines this summer season,” said TUTS General Manager Kevin Woo.
TUTS will also host several special events throughout the season, including Family Nights on Mondays at 7pm, relaxed performances in partnership with Canucks Autism Network, Pride Night on July 29, PAL Pass the Hat Nights, and an upcoming VocalEye live description performance.
Early bird tickets are available through June 20, starting at $35. Tickets and more information are available at tuts.ca.
