Sephora is officially coming to Kitsilano.
The global beauty retailer will celebrate the grand opening of its new West 4th Avenue store on Friday, June 5, bringing one of the world’s best-known cosmetics and skincare brands to the heart of the neighbourhood’s retail corridor.
The new Sephora Kitsilano will be located at 2235 West 4th Avenue, in the former adidas Terrex space.
The former adidas Terrex store became the subject of a trademark dispute in 2024, after Arc’teryx won a temporary court injunction over signage at the Kits location. Arc’teryx had argued that adidas’ use of the triple-stripe “performance bar” symbol alongside the Terrex name could cause consumer confusion, with the injunction applying specifically to the West 4th store.
Sephora’s arrival marks the latest evolution for West 4th, which has continued to attract major lifestyle, apparel, beauty, and outdoor brands in recent years. The corridor is already home to retailers such as Lululemon, Arc’teryx, Warby Parker, Kit+Ace, and Reigning Champ, alongside a wide range of local businesses that continue to define the street’s character.
For Sephora, the Kitsilano location adds a high-profile Vancouver neighbourhood store in one of the city’s busiest shopping districts. For West 4th, it adds another recognizable international name to a retail strip that has increasingly become a destination for fashion, beauty, wellness, and active lifestyle brands.
Founded in France and now owned by luxury group LVMH, Sephora operates stores around the world and carries a wide range of makeup, skincare, fragrance, haircare, and beauty products from both established and emerging brands.
