Kitsilano Beach is set to get a little colder this weekend — and a lot more spirited.

The Vancouver Polar Plunge for Special Olympics BC returns Saturday, March 7, inviting brave locals to dash into the chilly Pacific in support of athletes with intellectual disabilities.

The high-energy fundraiser supports year-round sport, youth, and health programs that build confidence, skills, and community for Special Olympics athletes across the province.

Expect creative costumes, team challenges, and plenty of shoreline cheering as participants take the plunge for a great cause. Spectators are welcome, and donations can be made online.
