Chor Leoni is once again inviting Vancouverites to revel in the beauty and wonder of the holiday season with its beloved annual tradition, Christmas with Chor Leoni. Performances take place at St. Andrew’s-Wesley United on December 18 at 7:30pm, December 19 at 5pm and 8pm, and December 20 at 2pm, 5pm, and 8pm.
Set against the soaring acoustics and stunning lighting of the historic St. Andrew’s-Wesley, this year’s concert promises an uplifting mix of familiar favourites and brand-new works. The 2025 program will introduce four world premieres, blending cherished melodies with newly commissioned winter carols to create an immersive and deeply moving choral experience.
Audiences can look forward to timeless classics like Ding Dong Merrily on High, Deck the Halls, and Silent Night, performed alongside inventive reinterpretations by indie icons Tori Amos and Sufjan Stevens, each adding their own shimmering touch to the seasonal repertoire.
The concert also brings together an exceptional lineup of Vancouver-based musical talent, including pianists Karen Lee-Morang and Tina Chang, harpist Vivian Chen, violinist Cameron Wilson, guitarist Keith Sinclair, and santour player Saina Khaledi.
With its mix of soaring vocals, rich cultural influences, and magical seasonal atmosphere, Christmas with Chor Leoni remains one of the city’s most cherished holiday traditions.
