Sancta Maria House, a longtime part of the Kitsilano community, will host its first benefit concert, Hope Rising, on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church.

Founded in 1960, Sancta Maria House began as a home supporting incarcerated women and has since evolved into a healing and recovery home for women overcoming substance abuse. The benefit concert aims to raise both awareness and essential funds, as the home relies heavily on community support and receives little government funding.

The concert will include performances by Top Line Vocal Collective (led by Juno nominee Warren Flandez), Musica Angelica Singers & Ensemble, Olga’s Angels, and concerto pianist, Sam Louis.

Tickets are available by donation, with an option to “pay it forward” so women in recovery can attend.
