The Metro Vancouver Croissant Crawl is back for its fourth year, running November 1–16, with more than 30 bakeries offering creative takes on the beloved French pastry.
Croissant lovers are invited to choose their own flaky adventure — walking, biking, or driving from one bakery to the next to sample exclusive limited-time flavours.
Walk-in quantities are limited, so pre-orders are highly encouraged (available at most participating bakeries).
To mark the occasion, Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim has officially proclaimed November 1st as “Vancouver Croissant Crawl Day,” encouraging locals to support small businesses. The celebration kicks off with a mini-tour of three Vancouver bakeries, open to croissant fans who want to join the fun.
This year’s Most Creative Croissant award will be judged by Phil Wizard, Olympic breakdancer and pastry aficionado, who will crown one bakery for pushing croissant creativity to new heights.
Two local favourites are representing Kitsilano in this year’s crawl:
Viva Café & Bakery – Sweet & Salty Cream Cheese Croissant
A flaky croissant filled with cream cheese, chopped green onions, and bacon bits — topped with a drizzle of honey and cheddar cheese powder for an extra-cheesy finish. Garnished with a touch of paprika.
Vogue Cakes – Black Forest Croissant (Vegan)
A decadent vegan croissant filled with non-dairy whipped cream and cherry compote, then drizzled with dark chocolate ganache and dusted with powdered sugar.
