Vancouver’s Kits Point will host a unique floating concert on Sunday, September 7th, when Soul Aboard sets sail from 5 to 7 p.m. Presented by Sailing for Change, the event invites guests to experience live music from paddleboards, kayaks, canoes—or a beach blanket along the shore.

The concert will take place in front of the Vancouver Maritime Museum at Heritage Harbour, with a tall ship serving as the stage. Performers include Ethiopian R&B artist ZADA and Tommy van Solo of The Boom Booms.

“Sailing for Change brings artists, audiences and nonprofits together, using music to navigate towards a better future,” said organizer Tessa Tabourel. “We are thrilled to be welcoming ZADA together with Tommy van Solo aboard.”

Proceeds will benefit Ocean Legacy, a Canadian nonprofit dedicated to cleaning plastic from marine environments and promoting ocean conservation worldwide.

Attendees can choose to paddle up from Kits Beach for an on-the-water view or settle in onshore for sunset music. Tickets are available on a pay-what-you-can basis—$25, $30 or $35—through Humanitix.

With a backdrop of boats bobbing in the harbour and a focus on marine protection, Soul Aboard aims to blend community, music and advocacy in support of cleaner oceans.
