Canadian comedy legend Colin Mochrie is returning to his theatrical roots for two nights of live improv at the Arts Club Theatre Company. Improv Night with Colin Mochrie & Friends takes over the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage on August 8 and 9, promising unscripted laughs and masterful storytelling.
Best known for his quick wit on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Mochrie will be joined by a stellar lineup of comedians including Denalda Williams, Gary Jones, Jeff Gladstone, Rod Crawford, and Veena Sood.
“This event is a celebration of both comedy and craft,” said Arts Club Executive Director Peter Cathie White. “Colin’s deep affection for the stage, combined with his legendary improv skills, makes this a perfect fit for our audiences.”
Mochrie’s connection to the Arts Club dates back to the 1980s, when he performed in productions such as She Stoops to Conquer and Taking Steps. Since then, he’s built an international career spanning television, live touring, and co-creating CBC’s Getting Along Famously.
Performances begin at 8 p.m. on both nights. Tickets range from $40 to $100 and are available at the Arts Club box office (604-687-1644) or online. The event is 19+.
