The brand-formerly-known-as-Steve Nash Fitness World officially announced they’ll be reopening their doors as simply Fitness World in the first week of July with full access to the workout floors, group fitness, and small group training sessions.

The fitness chain originally closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March, shuttering 24 locations and letting go of all their staff.

Steve Nash Fitness World, Crunch Fitness, and UFC GYM locations in British Columbia were recently acquired by a new group of investors.

Retired NBA star Steve Nash started the fitness chain in Vancouver in 2007 but sued the company in 2016 to remove his name from them.

Please can you tell me which outdoor pools will open and when.
I really want to thank everyone for thinking outside the box ?

OMG LOL what a total mess.

I was a long time member, just received an email saying no details on when the clubs are opening, but they are telling me I will be paying a NEW ADJUSTED monthly rate? LOL you morons, there are a thousand or more of us that had memberships to the REAL FITNESS WORLD and paid our dues back in the day… and had low monthly payments. I paid $15.99 for the Burnaby club and you’re now telling me i am going to have a new rate.

If I was a betting person, I would bet that the new rate is 4x that, just so you can somehow get some money back in your pockets after destroying the fitness world company of old.

Stay away from this place, it’s cancer. They went the USA model, sleaze overpowered sales tactics and zero service.

This company is garbage, go Club 16, Good Life, Innovative, Golds, any of the other companies are MILES beyond.

    You’ve been warned….

The new Fitness World is Steve Nash, it’s a the same POS company run by a garbage CEO and management team.

I am very worried about it all. Going to what was typed above though… This is the 2nd time that FW has been sold. Steve Nash took over back then. He did not start FW. I have been a member for over 30 years now. Only because of my dues. The service has always been bad overall. Hopefully there will be new people/better service. I would of gone somewhere else years ago if I could of gotten the same dues. I pay 1/2 of what Jason does. I have paid them over $30,000. I am Essential Services. I have diseases (mainly Fibromyalgia could flare up Again) that could be affected by what will happen or not happen. I still have my original contract from Fitness World when I signed up. I am very concerned.
