Kits-based fitness instructor Shana Alexander is offering Sunday morning workouts on Zoom through April (and beyond) called Bootcamp to Benefit for Backpack Buddies.

Every dollar donated to the class goes to Backpack Buddies, a local superhero of a charity that provides food for vulnerable children and their families. With an increased hunger gap, their need has hugely grown now more than ever.

These workouts are open to all, and modifications are offered to accommodate every level of fitness.

Ok, so my Instagram photography skills need some work, but who the hell cares when 60 people came together to sweat, breathe, and make a difference in our community? Not I!! $900+ was contributed by this slew of misfits I am so honoured to call my friends! You read that right – more than $900!!! The money has been donated to Backpack Buddies and will make a significant impact in the lives of vulnerable children and families in Vancouver. THANK YOU!! Team – we are going to do this again next Sunday and every Sunday after that for the foreseeable future. So, if you want to join in next week (or you want more info), let me know!! And next week’s class will open with an introduction to the amazing charity that is @bpbuddies_ by co-founder Emily-Ann King. . With love and a deep sense of gratitude, Shana PS why thank you for noticing, I know my daughter and niece have mad lunging and squatting skills!
