As the COVID-19 pandemic keeps people home and most cities limit restaurant operations, reservation platform Open Table is sharing data from nearly 60,000 restaurants and updating it daily.

This data shows year-over-year seated diners at restaurants on the OpenTable network across all channels: online reservations, phone reservations, and walk-ins.

For year-on-year comparisons by day, they compare to the same day of the week from the same week in the previous year. For example, they compare Tuesday of week 11 2020 to Tuesday of week 11 in 2019.

Included in the report is Canadian data from Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, and Montréal.

As of yesterday, March 16, 2020, Vancouver reservations are down 53% compared to 76% in Toronto and 83% in Seattle.

The State of Ohio has closed restaurants and bars which is why Cincinnati and Columbus are reporting a 100% decline.
