On Friday, November 29 at 7:00 pm, the Vancouver Maritime Museum invites the public to celebrate the opening of Ship’s Company: The Royal Canadian Navy at Work & Play, an exhibition featuring the photography of Kathryn Mussallem.

Admission to the evening opening is free and you can reserve your spot with an online ticket.

This exhibition portrays the lives of the men and women of the Canadian Navy, celebrating the diverse humanity of our naval forces.

Mussallem’s photos capture action-packed drills, sailors focused on their work, light-hearted antics at sea and on land, emotional homecomings and the everyday in-between moments. This exhibition commemorates the lives of sailors who work hard, play hard and always return home.

Kathryn Mussallem has spent the last eight years photographing the navies of the world. The photos in Ship’s Company are the product of weeks aboard Canadian naval vessels capturing the training exercises and everyday life.

Ship’s Company will be on display in the Teekay Gallery from November 30, 2019 to May 10, 2020.
