A cyclist in his 70s was riding near West 4th Avenue and Collingwood on Tuesday morning at 10am when he was struck by a Yellow Cab taxi that failed to stop.
The cyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and Vancouver police are investigating the hit-and-run incident.
A taxi driver believed to responsible for the collision has been arrested and Yellow Cab has confirmed that it was one of their drivers.
